The Edge Music Venue: Music on a Mission works to give area teens a safe place to go while heightening drug prevention and awareness. We provide pre-teens and teenagers with an alternative activity while encouraging a safe drug free environment to hang out with their peers. With no charge at the door. The Edge is one of the first and most successful free live music venues. Various bands of all styles and genres from all over the world play for nothing but the chance to inspire. As a Student Training Program, it is our goal to combat substance abuse in our area by creating within our youth a sense of ownership and commitment to their community through effective activities that are planned, organized and implemented by their peers. We will soon provide a full-time job training environment to generate more youth participation and reinforce positive behavior with positive role modeling. We work training youth in the various positions in The Edge Student Training Program.

We received a start grant for The Edge Student Training Program through Occupational Enterprises, Inc. (OEI), in January 2011. Through the Student Training Program we will hire and train students interested in working in an entertainment career and will learn small business skills in the operation in of a thrift store. Students in our program will learn the aspects of live sound, photography and video, event booking and promotion, sales and marketing, as well as the upkeep of The Edge website at http://theedgemusicvenue.com/ and market products on other media sites. Our goal is to see students advance their future careers with the desire to become community involved. The Edge is funded entirely by individuals in our community, grants and other supporters from all over the USA.

Drug & Alcohol Counseling Support Services: A certified counselor provides individuals with substance abuse problems support and help in overcoming their addiction.

SAMSON Recovery Support Program: SAMSON which stands for Steps and More Strength Overcoming Narcotics & other addictions is a program created by the director where the individual can begin to enjoy recovery through learning skills to overcome their addiction daily.

6-Week Certificate Support Class for Inmates in the Regional Jail: An introductory AA/NA class is taught to more than 40 inmates along with lessons to help the individual to stay sober once released.

Community Outreach & Education: Gives groups the opportunity to impact the lives of others. Mission teams are invited to stay at His Ministries' facilities, while they provide activities for youth, community block parties, distribute school supplies, winter coats and household items for needy families. In addition, groups help in the restoration of His Ministries' buildings, and The Edge Music Venue. A group now works to complete the building that will be used as a thrift store training center for area youth.

Community Service Provider: Youth and adults work off fines for the court system at His Ministries and the Edge Music Venue.
